Our education uses guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics and other trusted sources. Topics include, Umbilical cord care, common skin conditions in infants, diapering, circumcision and Intact care, hygiene and bathing, how to take a temperature, feeding cues, bottle and formula preparation, burping baby, safe sleep, basic car seat safety. Participants will also receive an infant care guide for future referencing.
We have also teamed up with Sarah Safekow, an RN who is certified to teach CPR/AED, BLS, ACLS, Babysitter Safety, & First Aid.
Berkshire Babysitter's Safety Class

at Berkshire Schools
This course provides a comprehensive overview for those who wish to become babysitters. The course will include the HSI CABS (babysitter's Safety) course, CPR/AED for all ages, and pediatric first aid. Some of the topics covered include:
- starting your babysitter business
- when to call for help
- questions to ask potential clients
- EpiPen administration
- what to do in an emergency while you wait for help
This is a blended learning course, so some online work for the Babysitter's Safety portion is required prior to the course.
